This place is so cute! Our waiter was attentive and quick. Our food came out super quickly. I had the Ocean Salad. It was pretty good, but wasn’t blown away. Also had a peach pecan pastry that again was pretty good. I think I’ll enjoy the lunch and brunch food better, so looking forward to trying this place again. I’m also looking forward to when the weather is nice enough to be at their outdoor seating. A downfall right now is parking is limited. And, it did get pretty loud inside. All in all, would try again.
The vichyssoise, escargot, shrimp, and charcuterie were all delicious! The drinks were also good. I didn't like the spicy vodka martini as much as I thought I would but the Manhattan was wonderful.
What a great experience. First off the drink menu is fantastic. As a bourbon lover having four extremely diverse bourbon drinks on the menu made picking a drink a challenge. My partner got a mocktail and they asked her what notes she was looking for. It was excellent. The mussels, escargot, bread, and octopus are all extremely fire. As someone who lives downtown, and is Charleston born and raised, I love seeing these quality spots exist outside of the peninsula. We've also been for brunch and can confirm it rocks as well. Check it out!
They have done an amazing job with this space! The drinks and food were very good but the service was superb. They have a case of pastry, small cakes (mini buche de Noel, so cute!) and macarons that looked wonderful! The complimentary Christoph’s chocolate w/the check was a nice touch. Definitely want to return for brunch.
I chose this spot for a date night dinner. We were so excited to finally get that downtown feel restaurant in West Ashley without having to cross a bridge. Our server guided us through the drink menu to help us narrow down our options since everything looked good to us! We chose the duck plate, which we were warned did not come with a sauce and the chicken. My boyfriend loved the duck as it came, and I will be craving that chicken for weeks to come! It was packed with flavor and did not disappoint! We also had to each get a dessert because there were so many good options! As we left, the patio had a large party on it which was nice to see that they could accommodate since the inside mostly had smaller tables. I can't wait to go back to try them for brunch!
Lovely Tuesday night supper. We enjoyed sharing all the delicious rich food. The pate en croute and country pate needed some more seasoning. The mussels however were delicious. Sorry to add that it's always a downer when you dine at a French restaurant and they charge for bread in my honest opinion.
All of the desserts were phenomenal.
Great addition to the neighborhood!!!!
I can’t say enough about the delicious dinner we had tonight. A beautiful cafe and at dinner it is luxurious and welcoming all at once. The service was AWESOME and the food was even better. As if that wasn’t enough it was affordable also. We will be back and be regulars.
We sat outside as there were no available seats inside (empty tables but probably reserved). Our waitress didn't come until I asked for her. Our food was super delayed, came out after 2 other groups that came after us. They were also inside and outside. Not sure why. We got the Benedict, ocean salad, and quiche. All pretty good. We didn't order anything else because things were taking a long time. We had to get our dessert to go because of that. No one apologized though which would have at least been nice to get acknowledged. It was a Sunday at 11A so not super busy but good foot traffic. Just frustrating, place is cute.
